Description:
The most rare piece in any chock wagon collection is the oversize, extra large, 3 gallon capacity coffee boiler. Bottom diameter 11 3/4", Top diameter 8" and Height is 12 1/4". Around the chuck wagon there was always one over the fire.An extra large, chuck wagon sized, grey swirl granite-ware coffee boiler with a 50 cup capacity. This specimen is interesting in it's design - an earlier large pot with the bail, a nicely turned handle and the tipping handle. This coffee boiler is in Very Good + condition with a super clean body and high luster finish. The only chips or dings on this beauty are a few flea bites around the bottom rim and some chipping to the interior lip on the lid. Even the interior of this boiler is very clean with no mineral build up and only a light amount of cleanable oxidation.These big pots were used on roundups, very hard to find.
