Description:
Attention all Civil War collectors! Up for sale today is a Colt Model 1860 Four Screw serial no. 7662 (1861) chambered in caliber .44 black powder. This excellent original early-war revolver was recently released from an estate in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The revolver is all-matching with the exception of the backstrap of the grips, which bears a different number, and the wedge, which is not serialized. It has an excellent bore and still locks up tightly and is correctly timed. The grips are outstanding and bear a cartouche. An excellent example of an early-war Colt, and a great addition to any collection.
