Description:
Harold Corby is a true Tennessean. He was born and raised in the hills of this great state. Only once did he leave to make his home elsewhere, when he moved to Miami, Florida to be trained as a gunsmith. He finally gave up gunsmithing in 1968 and began the long task of becoming a noted knifemaker, part-time at first, in 1969, and starting full-time in 1972. Forty-four years later, Corby is still around , and there is a great reason for that success: His knives are absolutely beautiful in both design and execution, as seen in this astonishing "YENZER BOWIE," made in 1977. Have you ever held or owned a Corby product? If you haven't, believe me, you'll be very impressed. On any given model, the knife's bevels are perfectly aligned on both sides. Corby's superb craftsmanship can be seen in all of the knives that constitute his line of handcrafted knives. The fitting of the blade, guard and handle is simply beautifully done; it's hard  to imagine how his knives could be better constructed as in this splendid  work-of-art "YENZER BOWIE," his knives are considered  treasures in steel! The 11" blade of 1/4" 154cm steel was fully engraved by Master engraver Ron Skaggs on both sides back in 1977 while the specially-shaped and never reproduced German silver double guard and butt cap was engraved in 3-D deep relief style by another extremely talented engraver Ronnie Davis. The female elephant ivory tusk handle with finger grips is a thing of beauty both in apperance and visual effect. Its colors range from pure white, ligh/pale yellow. There is no scabbard for this uniquely made knife as it was made as an exhibition piece of the highest quality and workmanship. No one made a Bowie like Corby and no one will........ there are the very best one maker can offer. This is an exceptional model that as received the most possible embellishments a knife can get. A Corby knife is an extremely well-made product, handcrafted with great care to be the fantastic fighter , hunter or Bowie you have always desired. If you are seeking to own a perfect art-like Bowie, this is the one to have. Harold Corby's knives are treasured by hunters, collectors and others.  Shipping included anywhere in the Continental United States only USPS with tracking number.
