What a ton of money was spent on this custom made target pistol. Made in 1993 and professionally customized for the very critical Police Pistol Combat competition shooter. It starts with a flawless stainless steel S&W 586-5.
The gun was has been professionally fitted with a Bomar Rib and a competition rear sight. The hammer has been honed and bobbed then finished in a black gloss coating. The gun has had the action honed to a silky smooth double action only. The trigger pull is so silky smooth it feels as if it is being fired single action. The trigger has been gloss blackened to match the hammer.
The cylinder release is also custom made and is designed in a large "L" shape to facilitate speedy release. The condition of the gun appears to be almost unused. The cylinder, recoil shield and force cone show very little use. The bore is just about factory new. The rifling is razor sharp and sunshine bright.
The gun locks up and indexes properly.
Finally, the gun is fitted with a pair of original Smith & Wesson wooden combat target grips that are just about as flawless as the rest of the gun***. When you handle it you know right away that a lot of money has been spent on this bullseye destroyer.
