Description:
Serial #495984, 12 Ga. (2 3/4”), 20” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a U.S. marked shotgun that retains about 99% of the original blue finish with some faint touches of silvering here and there, as well as some scattered surface scratches and marks on the balance of the metal. There are crisp “U.S. (flaming bomb)” markings at the breech of the barrel and on the left side of the receiver. The walnut forend has scattered minor handling marks, while the buttstock has a crisp Ord. Dept. crossed cannons stamp and “FJA” inspector's initials on the left side. The dark brown resin Remington buttplate is original and is also in excellent condition. This is a great example of a Model 11 riot gun; still tight as a drum; and would make a fine addition to a collection. FFL or C&R
