Description:
Model 1879 trapdoor 45/70 carbine in overall verygood condition. A true carbine, not a cutdown rifle. All metal smooth grey without pitting and good markings. Breech marked U.S. model 1873. Serial No. 188458* with m1884 upgrade buffington rear sight properly marked with a C for carbine. Slingring is missing but can be replaced.All wood is solid and sound except a piece chipped from left forestock. Bore is good plus and gun is functionly sound.
