NEW UNFIRED. Nickel Plated Kirst Cartridge Konverter with loading gate, to convert .44 caliber Uberti 1858 Remington to shoot five rounds of .45 ACP ammunition. Drop right in most revolvers and converts your cap and ball into a cartridge revolver. Some minor fitting may be required. No FFL required, SASS legal with a Lifetime Manufactures warranty. Owner has the option of cutting a loading port in the frame (template supplied) and convert your Remington using the Ported Kirst Konverter with loading gate, just like Remington did in the old days. All Kirst Cartridge Konverters are precision CNC machined in the USA from 4140 Steel and heat-treated. The cylinders are for black powder ammunition or " Equivalent Loads Only," which includes the current Cowboy Loads on the market. .45 caliber cylinders must NEVER be installed in a .36 caliber Cartridge Konverter and must NEVER be installed in brass frame revolvers. Not recommended for original antique Remington Revolvers.
