Merkel 303 EL O/U Sidelock Ejector, 12 bore, 3" chambers, double triggers, round knob grip, 28" barrels with raised flat machined rib, fixed chokes at .008 IC and .015 Lt. Mod., 7 lbs. 4 oz., 14 3/8" LOP to original butt plate, 1 1/2" DAC, 2 1/2" DAH, neutral cast, coin finish, very fine hand engraving with scroll work and game scenes depicting on the left a pointer and four pheasants in a farm land scene and on the right a water scene with nine ducks in and out of the water, hidden thumbnail hand detachable locks, highly figured walnut stock with three-piece forend. Comes in original optional leather case with accessories. As new, unfired condition. A beautiful effort from this German maker.
