SN M723 shows all original matching numbers. This Enfield is an example of a dispersal factory Enfield. These rifles were assembled from spare parts and damaged or condemned rifles. These examples are less frequently encountered. See page 195 and the photo on page 196 of the Lee-Enfield (Final) Edition). The socket shows the GR Cypher ,B over 1944 SHT. LE III* F.T.R. The metal shows the WWII British black enamel paint. The bore rates as very good with overall light corrosion. The wood is the correct beechwood with its' original arsenal applied finish. The pistol grip shows crisp Enfield markings and proofs. The rear handguard shows the typical usage top crack. This is a very good example of a variation of the No 1 MK 3 Lee Enfield. This piece is mounted with a 1942 dated English sling. FFL or C&R
