This is a very nice matched pair of Pedro Arrizabalaga 12G Shotguns with H&H style hand-detachable sidelocks. We believe the guns are unfired and they appear as such. The pair is cased in the Maker's oak and leather case. Some features of this beautiful pair:
- Hand filed tapered ribs.
- Beautiful case coloring with traditional English rose and scroll engraving.
- Self openers.
- Sideclips. Rubber pads.
- Barrels measure 26 3/4"
- Maker's oak and leather case with brass corners, canvas cover and snap caps.
Pedro Arrizabalaga was considered by many to be the best of the Spanish makers and the "Purdey of Spain". These guns would compare favorably to the Best English guns made. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a matched pair in this condition at price whidh represents quite a value.
These guns are from the Oliver-Brice collection. The prinicpal owned a private investment firm in Switzerland which allowed him to travel extensively in the UK and Europe. His passion was finding and researching high quality/investment grade British and European double shotguns. His collection is extensive and includes a number of unique firearms like this one. He is also a collector of fine watches and would consider a trade against this gun.
