Mr. Minty does it again. First off, it's 99.99% original blue. I am tempted to say 100% but someone might be able to find something that we didn't, but believe me we looked. If it only had the box..
Without a lengthy description, there isn't a scratch, pin prick rub mark or flake. Absolutely no muzzle wear or edge silvering. Just a barely visible cylinder drag line. The seller said there was less than 2 boxes through this 1968 manufactured gun before he moved on to a semi-auto. Who knows if that's so, but the gun seems to bear witness to its lack of use.
All parts match. The barrel is pinned and the cylinder is indeed recessed. The case colored hammer and trigger are also 99.99% original finish.
The matching serial numbered walnut checkered grips are an easy 99+% original factory lacquer. No chips, splits dings or flattened points. There is however, a light surface scratch or two on the bottom right panel. The grip screws, sight adjustment screws and frame screws are unmarred.
The bore is mirror bright with razor sharp rifling and in the same minty condition as the rest of the gun. What a delightful find for the collector or serious target shooter....895.
