Available for purchase is a really special rifle that is very close to my heart. Let's get this out of the way..... I love M1 Garands. Walked in the other day. All original, not humped on refinished or altered in any way. 5.9 mil serial number. Original chamber-in-the-white barrel dated 11/55. Bolt is marked 6628287-SA over Z-6. Oprod is marked 6536382 SA. Trigger housing is marked 6528290-SA. Hammer is marked SA-5546008. Safety also has an SA number. Stock is properly marked with a DOD stamp and serrifed P in a circle. The buttplate is really nice and has great color. Screws are not buggered. Sling is original as well and has markings that I can't read. Bore is in great shape, bright and strong and could use a good cleaning. I do not have gauges for TE/ME, but this is a strong rifle and has a great bore. This not a cheap Garand- but it is an original example that needs nothing. Want one Garand only? Need a high number Garand for your collection? Buy once- cry once. This one is a beauty.
