Here's a lovely cased set. The box and the hardware appear to be rather old. The plate on the front is obviously not. The gun appears to be in the white. There is no cylinder scene but all parts match.
The brass trigger-guard and grip straps still have traces of the original silver plate. Surprisingly, while there is no finish left there is no rust or pits anywhere. And the edges are still quite sharp. The walnut grips appear to have a fresh coat of lacquer.
They too seem to have seen little or any use. No dings, chips or splits. The gun does indeed make a rather attractive appearance. It locks up tight and indexes properly. The bore has sharp, and easily seen rifling with some graying.
The case comes with an old powder flask that is complete and fully functional, an original bullet mold for both round and pointed projectiles, an early screwdriver with some grind marks on the tip and a tin of percussion caps of unknown origin.
Just a lovely package for a desk or a cabinet display. I have been told the accessories are worth a good bit of what I am asking. This is not my thing. Your comments are welcome. So here it goes....***REDUCED***$1095.***REDUCED***
