This style of large, rather heavy handgun, was usually made for export to various countries both for those countries military forces and also as inexpensive personal weapons. Condition-wise, this pistol has considerable nicks, bumps and dings on the barrel, and it was originally made having a “captive” rammer that is now missing. The full-stock has been fully cracked through at the wrist and has been frontier repaired long ago using old leather wrap, and consequently, the gap in the wood prevents the tumbler sear from fully catching the hammer notches. When the lock is removed, the lock works fine and the notches are all good. The stock should be taken apart and firmly glued with a good wood glue or epoxy resin so as to be a fully functional weapon again …but even as it is, it is a colorful and inexpensive piece of history. Brass buttcap with lanyard stud. About Fair-Good, as described. $365 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes Antique: Yes |
