Having a non-reinforced hammer, this attractive large flintlock will probably date back to the late 1700s to early 1800s. It is in WELL above average condition overall, with no pitting of mention and fine wood. Being of military size and large caliber, it probably was an officers or weathy gentleman soldiers weapon in the War of 1812, or possibly even as early as the American Revolution. It has always been a mystery to me why these very early and very historic firearms are often priced much lower than some common mass produced machine stamped WW2, Korean War, or Viet Nam item. About Fine/Fine+ as described. $1275 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes Antique: Yes |
