Description:
Lithgow SHT. LE MKIII date d 1916. This is a WW1 era Lithgow Rifle. This piece shows mixed serial numbers and DP marking overstamped over the 4 Md mark on the receiver and a head of the bolt serial number. This piece shows a corroded bore with worn rifling. The barrel shows a May 1942 date. This piece should not be fired until it is examined or tested by a licensed gunsmith. it is however a sample of a less common WW1 Lithgow or a great parts gun. This piece is mounted with a 1943 WW2 sling. FFL or C&R
