Pope, Hartford CT”, DST, ball & spur lever, ball is filled with ivory insert, #6 checkered Schuetzen stock with cheek rest, Schuetzen brass nickel plated buttplate, checkered forend with ivory spacer between forend & action, whales tooth palm rest, Lyman 5A scope & 1A hooded front sight, dove tailed in front of receiver, mint bore, mostly gray receiver with traces of muted casehardening, 85% bbl. blue, VG wood, complete with wooden shooting kit, includes Ballard re & decapper, 2 bases for palm rest, false muzzle & bullet starter, false muzzle is not numbered to the gun, bbl. measures 1 3/16” across flats at breech end, splendid looking early Pope Ballard.
