Carl Gustav Swedish Mauser .257 Roberts Ackley Improved
My financial adviser and client is offering his .257 Roberts Ackley Improved 40 Degree Shoulder as built on a Carl Gustav Swedish Mauser Model 93 action serial # 77800. Please view all photos and read the following description carefully. The rifle was carefully assembled by Romains Custom Guns in Brockport PA. Let’s start with the barrel. The barrel is a 27 inch Douglas Premium Chrome Moly barrel. The Swedish action has been trued and it’s bolt lugs lapped fro even uniform engagement. An adjustable trigger was installed, one piece Redfield base and rings installed. Riding in the rings is a Leopold 3.5x10X Vari X Scope with parallax adjustable 50mm forward bell. The scope lenses are protected by Butler Creek lens covers. Now for my personal favorite aspect of the rifle. The fantastic custom stock. The wood was supplied by Wenig. Starting with a medium fancy grade walnut blank the following was added or installed per customer’s directive, a roll over cheek piece, right hand palm swell. The stock was finished with skip line hand cut checkering with a hand rubbed oil finish applied. A Pachmayr XXXXX recoil pad was fitted, length of pull is 13 ½ inches. And a rosewood fore end tip and grip cap is fitted to compliment the walnut stock. Sling swivels were installed and the rifle is glass bedded into the stock. A Versa-pod bi pod system has been added as well. The stock has a very nice amount of curl and contrasting color. The owner is including the Redding dies with this rifle. The rifle shoots sub minute groups often 5/8” or better. The rifle has been fitted with a more modern push lever safety. The 1-inch leather sling will go with the rifle too. To top it all off he is including a hard case for the rifle. This package will be somewhat heavy with all these accessories. Shipping will be $35.00 east of the Mississippi River, West will be 40.00 and West Coast states will be 50.00. Alaska and Hawaii will need a quote. We are authorized to sell and ship into California.
