Remington Model 550-1 22 S, L LR
A very nice Remington Model 550-1 with 24-inch barrel. This gun doesn’t have a serial number as it was manufactured Pre GCA 1968. The bluing is a good strong 90% maybe better, extremely strong color case remains on the trigger. The wood stock has some handling marks and at some point someone lightly etched the initials R L H into the bottom of the pistol grip. Barrel stamps are as follows on the left side small cZZ, right side has 01 and then a rectangle. The Remington site states these marks indicate April 1953 manufacture. These rifles are insanely accurate. This one deserves a little TLC. If I were to retain it. I’d have my stock guy refinish the stock because there is some very nice tiger stripe in the left and right side of the butt stock. Then I’d shoot the heck out of it.
