Description:
Some distinguishing features suggest that this is a New York State Contract Rolling Block. It has a curved and extremely high hammer spur, an outward protruding thumb lever and the safety locking action which moves the hammer to half cock when closing the breech. It also shows a regimental letter and number on the top of the butt plate at the comb. However, there are also some conflicting or missing features such as there are no sling swivels or rings and it has a 24" barrel with 2 barrel bands.
