Description:
NSN, .45 CF, 24 1/2” barrel with a fair, lightly pitted bore. This is an attractive looking rifle, probably built in India, and made to about 2/3 scale. The metal has an overall, lightly pitted, plum-gray patina and is extensively decorated with lovely floral scroll arabesque silver inlays with a transition to gold on rear ladder sight. The stock and forend have scattered handling marks and blemishes in the nice, added varnish finish. Well executed martial panoply vignettes have been carved in deep relief on both sides of the buttstock. Original ramrod is still present, and the mechanism is fully functional. This is a very nice, and nicely embellished, small scale Martini rifle in very good plus condition. Antique
