#4764 Winchester 1873 OBFMCB 44WCF, 3rd Variation in the 209XXX (1886) serial range, smooth tight action, about a 6+ bore that might clean to a 7 but does have some lead scale and light pitting the entire bore length. Still, it looks like it should still spin a bullet and be reasonably accurate to at least 75-100 yards. The exterior is an even smooth thin mottled grey-brown patina with VG wood that shows just the usual light bumps and dings of 130 years and no serious damage. Standard trigger, pinched blade front and long base buckhorn rear sight (which is missing the little serrated elevator which is about a $1 item, but I don’t have one to put in it). Nothing special, but an overall decent appearance (especially for a pre-1900 gun) and just a bit better than the usual no-finish ’73 in this price range. About VG-VG+. $1975
