Offered for your consideration is this exceptionally nice Model 70 in the sought after .257 Roberts caliber. Made in 1954 it has the standard 24 inch barrel, the bore is bright, sharp and excellent. The blue is at 98% with trace edge wear at the muzzle. The receiver doesn't show any edge wear. The bolt is numbered to the rifle and has slight blueing wear on the bolt knob. It operates smoothly and the safety functions as it should. I have not test fired. The stock is nicely figured balck walnut and retains 95%+ factory varnish. There are a few scattered handing marks but nothing of note. The checkering is sharp and blemish free except for two trace compressions on the left forearm panel, just barely visable but wanted to mention them. Take a look at the photos and let me know if you'd like to see any additional views. Overall this is an exceptionally nice Model 70 with the early style stock and in the sweet shooting .257 Roberts caliber. Conservatively 95% overall condition.
