Winchester Model 1886 Sporting Rifle with factory 26 inch round barrel .50 EXPRESS. The serial number of this example is 5100X placing date of manufacture in 1891. Overall condition of this 1886 is very good with a blue gray mixed patina. The metal is smooth and free of any damage. The bore is perfect and will rate a 10 on a 1 to 10 scale. The bore is bright and shiny from breech to muzzle. The bore is free of any leading or any fouling. The action is tight, smooth and mechanically perfect. Wood to metal fit is perfect with 90% original factory varnish remaining. This 1886 will letter with the Winchester Museum in Cody, Wyoming.
