Westley Richards Hand Detachable Lock Double Rifle with Ejectors in .470 NE. Chopper lump barrels are 25” and have the Model “C” type doll’s head extension and Westley’s patent top lever. Action is case coloured with disk set strikers, double triggers and a non-automatic safety. Richly figured walnut stock has a right hand beaded cheekpiece, a full pistol grip with trap grip cap and leather coveredn recoil pad. Splinter forend with Deeley catch and horn forend tip. The gun is engraved in traditional scroll and banner engraving with the maker’s name and a Cape buffalo game scene on the cover plate with the initials “HF” on the gold oval. This gun is in its original Maker’s oak & leather case w/ a full complement of horn handle accessories, all covered in a canvas & leather dust cover. Gun is in excellent condition.
