NICE 1876 .45-60 OCTAGON RIFLE, MADE 1883, this is a really fine unmessed with rifle that is hard to find these days, looks like it was put away and stored for the last bunch of decades, uncleaned and un-messed with overall, good very aged barrel blue mixing plum, mag tube mostly uncleaned brown, mellow unpolished brass lifter clearly marked "45-60" fine blue on the loading gate, receiver shows some very dull aged blue mixing brown mostly on the right side with more gray on the left side, original dust cover, tight action, fine bore shows some light wear and has scattered light surface roughness only, has the desirable sporting ladder sight marked "1876" with slide intact and Rocky Mountain blade front sight, standard 28" octagon barrel, some dark uncleaned rust/corrosion on the butt plate only, fine walnut stock and forend shows normal light handling with good wood to metal fit, really attractive, unfooled with big frontier Winchester in a good caliber- this one has a good look and feel to it- and 133 years old!
