1859 Civil War 52 Caliber Saddle Carbine converted by R.S. Lawrence System to 50/70 Govt. Rifle is in great shape with metal clean, 3 groove rifling crisp and clean with just a couple dark spots in barrel. Wood is in fantastic shape with cartouche clearly visible above saddle ring and in middle of left side of the butt. Metal markings on right sideplate are crisp and clear as well as the left sideplate. New Model 1863 is visible but worn on barrel and R.S. Lawrence markings on rear sight are crisp and clear. Rifle is in perfect working order with the breech block tight and the lever/spring tight as well. Rifle comes with Like New RCBS 50-70 die set, some once fired Starline brass and some new Starline brass. Please feel free to ask questions or for additional pictures. Firearm is for sale locally.
