Description:
Winchester Model 1873, with set trigger, in .44-40. SN# 41875. Mfg. in 1880, this 2nd Model features a 28" octagon barrel with a good to very good bore, frosted but deep rifling with no pitting. Both the metal and wood have been nicely refinished. The set trigger was a special order and makes this rifle a lot more rare. The trigger adjustment screw is missing. LOP 12 7/8". Full length magazine tube. Improved 2nd Model dust cover. Correct original front and rear sights. Top part of crescent buttplate has been taken down slightly but overall this Winchester is in very nice shape. This is an antique so no FFL is required to purchase.
