Numbers matching Erfurt Luger 1917 Serial # 9056. This is truly one of the better Erfurt lugers I have come across. Many Erfurt pistols look as if they have been in every scrap on the European continent and then put away in a wet sock. This one does not and it even has a great to excellent bore, some very minor, and I do mean minor frost in the bore but rifling is strong and not pitted. The safety, trigger, and other straw finished parts are starting to fade but still retain some of the straw coloration. There is a very good possibility that this Luger was re-blued many years ago and then maintained very well. I say this because there are a few pits scattered throughout the pistols surface and a few of these have some bluing inside the pits. This being said the letters, numerals proof marks and various stampings are in excellent shape. IF the gun was re-blued someone was very professional in doing so. Also included in the offering is the brown leather holster depicted in these photos. The holster has provision for an extra magazine, cleaning rod and take down tools which are included as well.
