Description:
Model 1884 U. S. Trapdoor carbine. Buffington rear sight, letter C on leaf. 1890 modifications at Springfield Armory - barrel band hump to protect rear sight in carbine boot and front sight cover in figure eight fashion. Unusual factory checkerd wrist, three piece cleaning rods and broken shell extractor in buttstock. Fine condition, 90% bright bluing, some case color, minor marks in wood and very good bore.
