Description:
Springfield Model 1873 Saddle Ring Carbine .45-70 government. The serial number of this Carbine is 139838 placing date of manufacture in 1880. Bore is perfect rating a 10 on a 1 to 10 scale. The finish is untouched and barrel blue will rate a 95% just starting to tone. The parts exposed and not protected by the saddle scabbard victim of rain and weather will show scattered pitting, not bad though. Issue cleaning/wiping rods will be found in the butt trap.
