Description:
SOLD..Antique Smith & Wesson 2nd model .38 SA.  Another very nice little Smith 2nd model. S/N 33676. All matching of course. Has the standard 3 1/4" barrel. .38 S&W black powder caliber. Has quite a bit of original nickel finish remaining. In the photos it looks like it has a bit more finish than it actually does. I would say about 60% to 70% overall. It is clouding up and thinning in places and has been LIGHLY cleaned to blend with the remaining finish. Still a very nice gun for the money. The barrel latch still has 95% blue. The hammer still has 80% bright and vivid case colors. There is no pitting on the gun at all.. All the markings are excellent. The mechanics are excellent as well. Crisp and tight as a new gun. NO movement in the cylinder side to side or front to rear. Lock up is like new. Rock solid barrel to frame fit at the latch and the hinge. The grips are very nice and show most all the fine checkering. There is the very common crack on the bottom right grip. It is solid and nothing is missing. A perfect factory fit with no other issues. The screw heads are still clean and sharp and not all burred up. All are serviceable. Not a bad little gun at all and probably has a bit more finish than I see but I never want to over describe a gun or "sugar coat" anything. The bore is excellent and bright with very little specks of roughness. No pitting. The chambers are excellent as well. Would make an excellent shooter with proper black powder loads of course. Overall a very nice little pocket Smith for the money. Shows no abuse and you will not find a tighter gun. $15 insure shipping to the USA... Over seas of course will be quite a bit more. I have a few more of these to get listed so check back often. Also some more very nice antique firearms will be listing. I am sorry I don not have more guns listed but sales have been very good and they have just about  cleaned me out but I have many more guns in inventory that I do not have listed yet so check back soon.
