Lenses in good condition. Sharp View.Very rare scope! Not typical for 100 or more years rifle scope.(I think was made between 1910-1925) Company Dr.Walter Gerard/Charlottenburg produced rifle scopes in Germany prior to World War I for use on sporting,hunting rifles.With the onset of the war, Dr.Walter Gerard/Charlottenburg scopes, along with many other previously manufactured sporting rifle scopes, were adopted by the German Army for use on their Scharfschutzen-Gewehr 98 and K98 Sniping Rifles. All Dr.Walter Gerard/Charlottenburg scopes are scarce in the USA. Original factory chrome covering. Reticle German # 1 Magnification 3.5X Length 268 mm or 10.5 inches Main tube diameter 22 mm Eye tube diameter 30 mm Objective tube diameter 30 mm Weight 12.4 oz or 352 gram(with mounts) Excellent scope for the sniper,drilling, sporting, and side by side collectible rifles.
