Extra nice Mauser Broomhandle Red 9, (1896 Antique) in original 90%+ blue, 5 1/2" barrel, Red Nine walnut grips. All metal parts W/matching numbers inside & out. Grips not numbered to the gun. 300 or 400 numbers from serial number. (field mixup ?) Bore bright with strong rifling, no pitting. 90%+ original blue, bright fire blue ejector; some minor thinning of the blue on the barrel, edge and handling wear; no rust, dings or pitting. Grips have minor dents and scuffing, no cracks or chips. Serial #68711, mfg. 1916. 500 meter tangent rear sight. Correct and sharp markings. Slotted backstrap. Lanyard ring. Action is excellent. Feeds and ejects 9mm dummy ammo, fine. This Mauser Broomhandle is as nice a WWI Red Nine you will find. They are getting scarce with escalating prices. Investment and Collector quality.
