Description:
Lebel Model 1886/93, 8mm, Cutaway- This is an original service rifle designed to help train armorers and soldiers on how the rifle works. The left side of the receiver it cut open to show how the feeding elevator and action work. The fore end is cut to show the magazine tube and spring. Additional wood and metal are cutaway to show the rifling and how the barrel and receiver are assembled. The cutaway is dated 1936 which is interesting as it could have been done by the Germans to train their soldiers on all types of foreign arms. This is a non-working antique firearm.
