Warner Davis Infallible Cal .32acp, Ser 75XX.
What a story goes with this un-fired Norwich, Connecticut pistol. The company started in 1914 and folded in the 1920’s. I guess this one is from about 1915. This gun is mint un-fired, with the original factory instruction sheet and lid of the original Infallible box.
Now here's the kicker.. It comes with a letter from Robert Davis, the son of the founder of Warner Davis Arms. Wherein Robert Davis states that it was his father's personal gun and before he passed, it was given to him. In 1974, before Robert Davis passed, he gave the gun to Sgt. Francis Polito of the West Goshen Police in Pa. His family eventually put it up for sale.
The gun is in mint un-fired condition, so a lengthy description might just be a waste of time, but believe me it is flat out mint.
The gun comes with the original box lid, with the lid's original instruction sheet. The instruction sheet has a few loose pieces that could easily be refastened. But I believe that but that should up to the buyer. Also, with it is the original letter and envelope from Robert Davis.
I am sure some collector of American automatic pistols would love to have this bit of history on a unique pistol that briefly came and went....$895.
