Description:
Winchester Model 1892 Sporting Rifle with factory 24 inch Octagon Barrel .38-40wcf. The serial number of this example is 7549XX placing date of manufacture in 1914. Overall condition is fine with the barrel and magazine tube retaining 80% of the original factory rust blue. The bore is near perfect with strong rifling and shine from breech to muzzle. The bore will rate a 9 on a 1 to 10 scale. The action is tight, smooth and mechanically perfect. Wood to metal fit is perfect. Very nice shooter with correct period "Tang Sight".
