Really very nice, almost outstanding. Other than a lightly toned front gripstrap with a few areas of light pinpricks, the gun is exceptional. That said, the balance of the gun is at least 97-98% of the original factory finish. The loss is due to sharp edge silvering and a linear frame rub mark on the left front of the slide.
There is no rust, pits or rub marks. Other than the above and the usual take down lever mark. The top of the slide is "P" proofed. The left side of the frame has the inspector's mark "WB” boxed and a "P" proof.
All parts match and are correct for the gun.
The slide heat treat mark is easily seen about 2 1/2" from the muzzle.
The brown plastic grips are the small ring type and, like the bulk of the gun, are flawless.. No splits, chips or flattened points. The screw heads are not marred in any way. The barrel, the slide rails, feed ramp and bolt face show very little use.
The barrel is totally correct, and is stamped "Col .45 Auto". The bore is mirror bright with razor sharp rifling. There isn't even a hint of frosting.
The gun would be bullseye blaster on the range and outstanding in a collection.....$2995.
