Description:
Winchester 1886

This gun features a round, 26" barrel chambered in .45-70. This gun was produced in 1895 and is one of approximately 8,557 model 1886's produced that year. This piece features the crescent buttplate on the original finished walnut stock and a folding rear sight. The blue finish is still present on the bolt. There are traces of case colors on the receiver. The bore has scattered, light pitting, which is typical of black powder cartridge-era guns. Strong lands are still present. The gun is all-original and in unrestored condition.
