NEAR MINT CIVIL WAR SMITH .50 CAL. PERCUSSION U.S. CAVALRY CARBINE CIRCA 1863. All matching, 100% original as issued and one of the best we have seen. Retains 99% of the original blue on barrel and mounts. Frame with approximately 95% bright case hardening. The original nipple with all the blue as well. Exceptional stock and forend with all the original finish and a mint Government Inspector’s cartouche. Even the screws are near mint with nearly all the original blue. Perfect working order and has a mint bore. Nicest one we have had in years.
