Description:
This is another one of the custom rifles I had built by Mike Cuypers of Bijou Creek Customs. I have others listed on this site as well, in 458 Lott, 505 Gibbs, and soon to be 404 Jeffery.
TYhis one is built on a new MCR 1999 action, with an octagonal-to-round barrel, jeweled bolt and extractor arm, dual crossbolts, Rosewood forend tip, red Decellerator pad, Ken Howell-type inlet sling mounts, and a steel grip cap. The octagonal part of the barrel was a challenge, and I had Griffin & Howe custom fit NECG Masterpiece sights on it for $1.140, so I'll lose my shirt on this one :-)
The LOP is the standard 13 1/2", and weight is a beefy 9.0 lbs, to tame the recoil of full-house 338 Magnum loads.
But this one for less than the cost of the stock.
