EXCELLENT MARLIN BALLARD PACIFIC NO. 5 SINGLE SHOT .40-63 BALLARD EVERLASTING CAL. RIFLE CIRCA 1880’S. 30” octagon barrel with factory elevator rear and folding globe front sights. Factory Vernier tang sight and double set trigger. Scarce model with matching serial numbers in the 24,xxx range and with desirable rebated frame. Marlin Firearms Company frame address and patent dates. 100% original and excellent plus with 90% original barrel blue and 50-60% case hardening on frame and lever and butt plate with balance turning grey. Hammer retains the original case colors and the triggers have all the original blue.Excellent stock and forend with the original finish. Forend with minor dent on right near tip. Exceptional mint bore and perfect working order including the set triggers. Original Pacific wood rod.
