CIVIL WAR EMERSON & SILVER U.S. MODEL 1860 DATED 1863 CAVALRY SABER & SCABBARD. Original uncleaned and unsharpened 35" blade with address on one ricasso and "U.S./ DFM/ 1863" on reverse. Nice edge with NO dings and old patina. Includes original buff washer. Original brass basket hilt with very old mustard patina but bent in a few places from period of use. Original leather covered grip with traces of old wire braid. Solid construction and does not rattle. Original steel scabbard with black paint over old gold paint. NO dents or bends on scabbard. Paint will come off easily if you so choose but looks pretty good. Affordable addition to Civil War collection.
