Description:
Presented for sale, you will find a Springfield Armory M1 Garand fitted with a Bell & Carlson stock. This piece of history was made by in June of 1945. This is a Civilian Marksmanship Program rifle and according the notes from the last owner, it has been rebarreled to 7.62 NATO by Fulton Armory. It may have been fitted with a chamber bushing.
As you can see from the images, this rifle has been fitted with a synthetic stock.; however, the metal on the rifle is excellent. The images will illustrate the condition of this rifle better than I can describe.
If you count Nazis, Japs and North Korans, the M1 Grand has probably killed more animals that any rifle every built. If not, it sure did its job well.
