Description:
A very fine Spencer carbine, cal.52, SN 54xxx, The gun retains a good 95% original blue and all markings are sharp. The bore is very fine with sharp rifling and no pits or bulges. The wood is fine plus with hardly any handling marks or wear. Mechanically locks up crisp and action is tight.Even the barrel band blue matches that on the barrel.The frame has lightening case colors but are fading to a blue rather than toning. All in all, one of the finest Spencer carbines I have owned. One strange marking is just in front of the saddlering bar. Looks like maybe a letter or ?REDUCED!!!
