Description:
Rare all original, early 1st year production .36 caliber 2nd model 1851 Colt Navy revolver with square back trigger guard. Serial #2008, all matching, 1st year manufacture 1850. In very good+ untouched condition overall. Clear New York barrel address, exhibits some slight muzzle wear. Metal overall is a smooth chocolate brown-grey patina, free from any pitting. The bore retains very good rifling with a couple trivial spots of light pitting. No cylinder scene remaining, although the serial # is still quite distinct. The brass has a wonderful untouched aged patina. Two-piece walnut grips have a great look with minor chipping to both front toes. The mechanics are very good. A hard to find early Colt Navy revolver.
