Wood Condition: Good: no breaks nor cracks; wear consistent with age and military (Cavalry) usage / The Stock may have been refinished at some point
Bore Condition: Good: Lands & Grooves are strong; slight evidence of corrosion

Extras: This is a very solid example of the Civil War Era Burnside Carbine. The Carbine is marked "BURNSIDE PATENT. MARCH 25TH 1856. 23237." The lock plate is marked "BURNSIDE RIFLE CO. PROVIDENCE R.I." The Carbine is also marked with these initials "S,H, G & C.
