Up for sale is a matching set of the Pre-War Model USFA SAA Revolvers in the most desirable
45 Colt with the 4 3/4 inch barrels. These revolvers are NIB/As NIB, appear unfired,
have the, upgraded, Stag stocks and come in their original boxes with the outer shipping
sleeve. Revolvers Serial numbers are 12 digits apart.
These revolvers were custom engraved for an RD Smith with a 2B brand engraved on the underside of
the grip straps. I do not know if these were or were not engraved at the factory. The engraving is
tastefully done. The Pre-War model was USFA's highest quality SAA revolver built to the specifations
of the early 1st generation Colt SAA. The last picture is a side by side,for comparison, of a
first year. 1958 for the 4 3/4, 2nd generation SAA in 45LC. This picture shows the high quality craftsmanship
as well as the amazing finish work of the USFA Pre-War model revolvers, I believe the case color work on these revolvers was
completed by Doug Turnbull.
USFA has been out of business for a few years now and these USFA SAA's have become highly collectible. It isnt often
a Pre-War model in this configuration comes up for sale and a matching set is quite special..
