Description:
Available for purchase today is this gorgeous Marlin 1895 Limited Edition 45-70 with half round, half octagon barrel. Barrel is 24" and this one has a straight grip walnut stock with the Marlin Bullseye. Bore is mint. Wood above excellent, blue is a solid 98%. Barrel has the JM stamp. There is a filler screw in the tang from where a previous owner had a tang sight installed and removed it. Standard rear buckhorn and brass bead front. Soft rubber buttpad. There are some marks in the matte area on top of the receiver, looks like someone had a rail installed up there. This is a wonderful example of a long out of production rifle- shooter priced and ready for the next generation of big bore hunting.
