Description:
Produced around 1980, this revolver is chambered in .41 Remington Magnum. This Blackhawk is in great shape overall. The original factory blue finish looks excellent with only some very minor handling marks and one spot on the cylinder where some surface rust formed at some point and a faint drag line. I took a close-up picture of the cylinder so you can see what I am describing. The satin black finished aluminum alloy grip frame and trigger guard look like-new with no visible flaws. It has a 6.5 inch barrel with a perfect bore. The bore is bright and the rifling is strong and sharp with no pitting. There is a small area just below the front sight on the left side of the barrel where the blue finish is thin under close examination but it does not detract from the overall appearance of this very nice Ruger. The original walnut grips are in excellent shape with no cracks or repairs and they have the inset silver Ruger medallions. The hammer has some slight discoloration on the sides where it was left in the white that could be cleaned off with some light polishing if the next owner so chooses. This New Model Blackhawk functions 100% like new. The action locks up super tight with no wiggle and the single action trigger breaks cleanly with a light pull. This would be a great gun to carry in the woods, shoot targets with, or add to your collection as an investment. The .41 Magnum Blackhawks are few and far between compared to the .45 LC and .357 Magnum examples on the market.
